Unique handmade jewelry and pottery.

About Me

I have always been intrigued with objects that people feel they can’t live without.  What do people consider necessary to keep around and can not part with?

During a trip to Italy I took a walk down cobble stone streets and found an archeological dig being set up because an artifact had been discovered there.  I couldn’t believe that this happened often.  I used to sit, watch and photograph.  I had the opportunity to go on one of sites I stumbled upon and walk around.  I was on an ancient burial ground and was intrigued with the objects that were buried by the skeleton’s heads.  These objects were vessels, coins, weapons and jewelry.  They were considered necessities and very important.  These are the objects and forms I use to influence my work.

I also use old jewelry, mid-evil weapons, rustic frontier agricultural tools and antique coins as visual influences.  My work involves form and function.

My work consists of series that include sculptural objects that resemble stone, utilitarian vessels and jewelry.
